Diabetes occur in all age groups,

with diabetes are 45 years of age or older.

thirsty most of the time, does not put on weight, though he eats every now and
then, and gets tired easily, both physically and mentally. They looks pale, may

Diabetes caused by systematic
over-eating and consequent obesity.Not only the overeating of sugar and refined

a deep influence on the metabolism and may cause sugar to appear in the
urine.The disease may be associated with some other grave organic disorders
like cancer, tuberculosis and cerebral disease. Heredity is also a major
factor in the development of the disease.
Primary Diet
The primary diet should be a
strict-lacto -vegetarian and take a low-calorie, low-fat, alkaline diet of high
quality quality natural foods.Fruits nuts and vegetables ,whole wheat bread and
dairy products form a good diet for the diabetic.
Cooked starchy foods should be
avoided.The raw starchy foods does not become injurious to the system.
Morning:A glass
of lukewarm water with lemon juice.
Break fast:Fresh
fruits, bananas soaked prunes, A small quantity of whole wheat bread with
butter and fresh milk.
lunch:Steamed
or lightly cooked green vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, tomatoes,
spinach, turnip and mushrooms, two or three whole wheat chapatis and a glass of
butter milk.
Afternoon:A glass
of fresh fruits or vegetable juice.
Dinner:A large
bowl of raw vegetable salad.
Bed time: A glass
of fresh milk.

healthier choices

8.Control your blood pressure.

Exercise
Exercise is also an important
factor in the treatment of diabetes.Light games jogging and swimming are
recommended.Yogic asanas are highly beneficial.The diabetic patient should
eliminate minor worries form his daily life.He must endeavour to be more
easy-going and should not get unduly worked up by the stress and stain of life.
Natural cure
A tablespoonful Indian gooseberry
juice with a cup of fresh bitter gourd juice.Daily for two months .Diet
restrictions should be strictly observed while taking this medicine.It will
also prevent eye complications in diabetes.
